The fort has a multi-layered defense system. The eccentric rular Tughluq tried to shift capital from Delhi to Daulatabad and failed. Even now eccentric orders of people in authority are called Tughluqi Orders in jest.

Hurda (Tender Sorghum) Party / Christmas Day 2010

This Christmas Day 2010 we had been to a nearby small resort to enjoy Hurda Party. Hurda is tender Jowar (Sorghum) grains, roasted on fire and ate accompanied with groundnut and chilly spicy chutneys.
